8月14日晚间的发布会上，雷军用自己武大往事、创业之旅和小米高端化探索，分享了对他过去30年影响最深的几次关键成长。他指出，每一段经历，每一次蜕变都是一次认知的突破，更是一次关键的成长。发布会上，小米还发布了新一代折叠屏小米MIX Fold3以及小米Pad6 MAX等新品。
对雷军来说，小米高端探索之路，是他的最近十年最痛苦，但也是收获最大的成长经历。他指出，小米13的成功，来之不易。
雷军回忆，小米从小米10开始做高端手机，随后又憋了口气，花了很大力气做小米12，但最终仍不达预期。
雷军透露，在小米12、小米12S上市后，销量均不达预期，亏损严重。小米13也在立项会上差点夭折，当时过半意见反对继续做小屏手机，上市前夕也差点放弃。
