2020年以来，中国丝绸博物馆与四川省文物考古研究院合作，通过小小的试剂盒，在三星堆的青铜蛇、青铜眼形器等40多件器物上均发现丝绸，品种有绢、绮、编织物。
“绮是高档的丝绸制品，还有轻薄的绢，如烟似纱，飘逸灵动。”中国丝绸博物馆副馆长周旸说。
周旸深度参与了三星堆丝织品的发掘、保护及研究工作。她介绍，三星堆祭祀坑的文物，大多被火烧过，可能还被水浸过，和其他珍宝一起，在地下埋藏数千年，和坑内的灰烬、泥土等混杂一起，早已不复当年的“颜值”。
中国丝绸博物馆基于免疫学原理的丝绸微痕检测技术，主持研发了一种成本低廉、操作便捷的试纸，可在15分钟左右检测出数千年前的丝绸痕迹，在三星堆最新考古研究中立下“汗马功劳”，找到了目前长江上游最早的丝绸。
